Datum
Datum is a generative art project by Jurgen De Wever that turns datasets into living digital organisms: forms that are born, grow, carry scars and die, entirely determined by the numbers that feed them. The project currently holds ten species, grown from wind, mortality, market prices, dog bites, conflict, air quality, earthquakes and rain. Eight die on the date the maker exported their data; two are living, fed by an open source, and die only when that source falls silent.
